Cartwright Rounds Out Senior Staff and Announces First District Office
SCRANTON, PA – Congressman-Elect Matt Cartwright (PA-17) announced the location of his first District Office and his senior staff today including his District Director, Legislative Director and Communications Director, Senior Economic Development Specialist as well as his Washington, D.C. Scheduler.
“I am excited to announce the location of our Scranton District Office and the hiring of these five members of my staff,” said Rep.-elect Cartwright. “All five individuals have excellent qualifications and experience, and will help me provide the best possible service to the constituents and employers in our region. Our team is going to focus on working for every family and every business in this district so we can get our economy back on track.”
Cartwright’s Scranton District Office will be located at 226 Wyoming Avenue in Scranton and is set to open in January once Cartwright is sworn in.
Bob Morgan, a resident of Luzerne County, will serve as Cartwright’s District Director. Mr. Morgan has spent the last 25 years in financial services where he was responsible for providing investment and client relationship services to individuals and institutions. He is a graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Morgan has been active in Luzerne County politics and brings a wealth of organizational and personnel management skills to the team.
Jeremy Marcus, a seasoned legislative staffer, is set to come on board as Cartwright’s Legislative Director. Mr. Marcus, an honors graduate with two degrees from Stanford University, moved to Washington, D.C. after serving as a Presidential Management Fellow. He has worked for Senators Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va) and John Kerry (D-MA), and two members of Congress, serving most recently as Legislative Director for Congressman Russ Carnahan (D-MO).
Serving as Communications Director will be Shane Seaver. Mr. Seaver holds a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a Master’s in Public Administration from West Chester University. He recently managed Cartwright’s Primary and General Election campaigns and will be his primary spokesman once Cartwright takes office on January 3rd. Prior to the campaign, Seaver managed multiple State Legislative campaigns.
Also joining the team will be veteran economic development specialist William Hanley. Mr. Hanley has worked with Congressman Tim Holden for the last 20 years and will join Cartwright’s staff working as a Senior Economic Development Specialist, handling special projects including grant writing for the district. Mr. Hanley attended the University of Scranton and currently resides in Pottsville, PA.
Daniela Amodei will serve as Cartwright’s Scheduler in Washington, D.C. come January 3. Ms. Amodei was a member of Cartwright’s campaign handling all field related activities and working out of the Scranton Campaign office. She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz and has an extensive background in policy and non-profit work.
All five staff members will begin work once Rep.-Elect Cartwright is sworn in as a member of the 113th Congress on January 3, 2013.
